1221 VIP Edition wheels aim to bring a new and ultra-aggressive look to our line of lightweight modular 2 and 3-piece wheels. VIP builds on the success of our Apex3.0 wheel line with its signature 20 bolt construction found in our AP2x, AP3Lx, and AP3x wheel configurations. The VIP edition uses a new spoke profile, hub design, and assembly flange all completely re-imagined from scratch to make a visually striking wheel that still out performs the competition. The new VIP spoke design incorporates signature pocketing into the center of the wheels providing a truly unique take on the idea of a pocketed spoke. Our VIP hub is completely new and provides a fresh take on our hub undercut by keeping material usage to an absolute minimum while still providing a unique contoured look. New for the hub design is additional pocketing in the hub itself that cuts all the way through the backpad from the front of the wheel to the hub surface.

AP3LX THREE PIECE WHEELS
AP3LX takes our ground breaking AP2X innovation and brings it to the 3-piece floating leg wheel for the first time in history. This configuration now features a 20 bolt design (instead of 40 bolts), weight reduction pocketing on the assembly flange on the center disc, and additional weight reduction pocketing on the inner and outer barrels. These features create a unique design feature no other brand offers and reduces weight significantly compared to a normal floating leg 3-piece wheel.

WHEEL HARDWARE CONFIGURATION
The 20|EX configuration features a new 20 bolt design (instead of 40 bolts) that is exclusive to X-Series Wheels. Normally, modular wheels are constructed using 40 fasteners, but the 20|EX configuration eliminates half of the bolts and replaces them with lightener pockets. This configuration maximizes the weight savings potential of the wheel while maintaining the necessary strength for both our class 1 and heavier class 2 applications like SUV's. This has been verified with our in house FEA and physical testing. 20|EX represents our highest level of assembly technology.

TITANIUM IS NOW STANDARD
Titanium is a true performance metal. Boasting lightweight properties with high levels of strength, titanium offers substantial real-world benefits in almost every application. This metal has the highest strength to weight ratio of almost any other metal, making it perfect for a variety of automotive uses, including modular wheels. Titanium is also able to withstand high levels of heat without losing any of its strength. All of these factors make it an ideal upgrade. As such, 1221 offers a titanium assembly hardware option on all 1221 wheels. Titanium fasteners feature our laser etched 1221 logo and shave 41% of the weight versus a standard fastener.
